We long to see the people of Rotterdam forever changed by the Gospel of Jesus and as a result are living out the eternal implications of being adopted sons and daughters of God, while looking to Him as their source of all joy and worth.

We hope that God is glorified by a church that is filled with followers of our King, Jesus, who long to be conformed to His image (Romans 8:28, 2 Peter 1:4)

We hope these followers willfully and joyfully participate in Jesus’ mission to “make all things new”, as a preparation for the Kingdom to come and to be light to the world now. (Matt. 5:14, Revelation 21:5, II Corinthians 5:17)   We long for a community that brings Christ-exalting renewal.

Our mission then is to lead people to Jesus through a gospel movement that brings personal conversion, community formation, and Christ-exalting cultural renewal to this city and beyond. We trust in the power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to accomplish God's mission. As fellow workers in God's mission, we will accomplish this through Christ-centered preaching, God-focused worship, and discipleship that results in fully devoted followers of Christ. We do not want to put trust in human efforts, but to trust in the sovereignty of God in evangelism and preaching the gospel.

Our Core Values

Word Focused

The Bible is the lens to view life and live life as we believe God’s Word is our primary guide to understanding what God requires of us and what Jesus has done for us. This gospel understanding affects every aspect of the Christian life. We believe in the sufficiency of scriptures

Romans 12:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Semper Reformanda - Continually changed by God's Word and Spirt.

There is always the great danger that once a church has reformed the externals according to God's Word, people may become outward focused instead of internally renewed. As a church, we must therefore always ensure that our hearts are continually reformed by God's Word and His Spirit.

Missional Living and Discipleship

We believe growth happens best in community as we believe this is a reflection of God Himself, who is triune in nature; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit have always been in perfect communion with one another. God created Man in His own image and from the beginning we see community between God and mankind.  A strong and authentic community is missional as it is attractive for those who don’t know the Lord Jesus. (Acts 2:42-47, Romans 12:9-13, John 13:34-35)

We believe that God has a missional heart. Therefore the church is partnering with God on His Mission. As God cares about people, so do we. This means that we are outwardly focused and we follow the concepts of holistic evangelism, meaning that we see each individual as one who is made in God’s image, therefore we care about them as a complete person, not just the state of their soul, which leads us to minister in both word and deed. We do however reject the social gospel and other distorted gospels, we simply want to stay true to God's way.

It is our purpose to make fully committed disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ and we believe the church is to equip the people to grow in their faith. We also believe that the church is sufficiently equipped to do that through the use of the Bible, through community, and most importantly through the work of the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, 1 John 2:2, Isaiah 56:8

Bible Culture

We believe just as Jesus fearlessly engaged with the culture, effectively reaching people where they were, we the church need to be culturally relevant while remaining true to our orthodox doctrine.

We strongly believe we must engage with culture in a Biblical way. We must make our message understandable to the various groups of people,  yet at the same time remain distinct from the culture around us. This is because we know God’s holy law, which we can never keep perfectly, but out of love and joy for Christ’s perfect keeping of that law on our behalf, we want to do our best to follow God’s law. We are therefore exiles in this world for the sake of its salvation.

John 15:19, Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 2 Corinthians 1:12, Ephesians 6:12

Serving Leadership

We train our future leaders to become servant leaders, seeing Christ and his life not just as our primary example, but as a transforming source to serve others joyfully and selflessly. We always lead by example, being humble and transparent.

Exodus 18:13-26 Matthew 20:26 Luke 10:1-9 Acts 6:1-7 Titus 2:1-8

Multiplying disciples

We believe church planting is one the most holistic way of reaching various groups of people in this city. Therefore as a church want to continue invest in future servant leaders and disciples of Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20 Acts 1:8
